Efficacy of a novel non-hormonal intravaginal ring.
The story of contraception has long been dominated by a single narrative: hormones. For decades, the pill, the patch, and hormonal IUDs have been the incredibly effective gold standard. But what about the women who cannot, or simply will not, introduce systemic hormones into their bodies? For them, the options often drop off a cliff, leaving them with high-maintenance barrier methods or invasive copper devices.
It's time for a new chapter.
MomDoc Women's Health Research is serving as a clinical site for the pivotal contraceptive efficacy study of Ovaprene—a trial that could fundamentally change the landscape of hormone-free birth control.
Ovaprene is an investigational monthly, non-hormonal intravaginal ring. It represents a completely different approach to preventing pregnancy, aiming to provide reliability without systemic side effects. According to the study protocol, this research represents a critical evaluation:
"This will be a multi-center, single arm, open-label study of Ovaprene, a non-hormonal intravaginal ring, to investigate the contraceptive effectiveness, safety and acceptability of Ovaprene."
Innovation in women's health is driven by the women willing to lead it. By participating in the Ovaprene study, you gain early access to evaluate an investigational method while receiving rigorous clinical monitoring.
We are currently enrolling sexually active women (ages 18-40) who meet the following key criteria:
Participation in MomDoc clinical trials is always voluntary, always free, and often includes compensation for time and travel.
