Scottsdale
OB/GYN Physician and Principal Investigator
Dr. Micah Harris opened Arizona's first women's health clinical research facility in 1998 alongside the late Dr. Jay Cooper. The question that framed their partnership, what treatments and devices actually move the field forward for women and how Arizona patients get access to them early, still frames his practice nearly three decades later.
His own training took him the length of Florida's Gulf Coast: medical degree and residency both at the University of South Florida in Tampa. He returned west to practice, earning Fellowship in the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists while building a clinical research program that has since run more than one hundred trials under his direction as Principal Investigator. His contributions to the literature appear in Obstetrics and Gynecology, The Journal of Minimally Invasive Gynecology, and The Journal of Reproductive Medicine.
For the women who see Dr. Harris in Scottsdale, that record does more practical work than it sounds. It means the doctor across the table has usually evaluated the newer options on the market before they became the standard of care. It means a generalist who is also a trialist, a clinician who reads the next morning's data with the same curiosity he brought to the first trial he ran.
