You May Already Qualify
Arizona's AHCCCS program (Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System) provides full medical coverage to pregnant women who meet income requirements. Coverage includes all prenatal care, labor and delivery, and postpartum visits with no monthly premiums and no copays.

If your household income falls at or below these amounts, you likely qualify. These limits are updated annually based on Federal Poverty Guidelines.
What AHCCCS Covers for Pregnant Women
When you are approved for AHCCCS Medical Assistance as a pregnant woman, you receive full coverage through an AHCCCS Complete Care health plan. This includes:
- All routine prenatal office visits
- Ultrasounds and prenatal lab work
- Labor, delivery, and hospital stay
- Postpartum checkup
- Doula services
- Prescription medications
- Emergency care
No premiums. No copays. You pay nothing out of pocket for covered services.
12-Month Postpartum Coverage
As of April 2023, Arizona extended AHCCCS coverage for postpartum women to 12 full months after the end of pregnancy. This means you stay covered for a full year after delivery, giving you time to recover, attend follow-up appointments, and address any postpartum health needs without worrying about losing coverage.

- Sit with you and complete your application
- Submit your documents electronically
- Track your application through approval

Federal Emergency Services (FES)
If you do not qualify for full AHCCCS but need maternity care, MomDoc accepts Federal Emergency Services (FES). While FES primarily covers your hospital delivery, MomDoc provides comprehensive prenatal care for FES patients because every baby deserves a healthy start.

If you need help with food, housing, transportation, or other needs that affect your health during pregnancy, our team can send a referral to a local community organization on your behalf and follow up to make sure you received help.
